Liberace

Ingredients

Gin · Cointreau · Lime · Cucumber · Jalapeño

The profile

A spicy/cooling daisy-style cocktail.

My thoughts

What it says on the tin. A refreshing gin-based cocktail with a little kick from the jalapeño. I think sometimes cucumber is a bit overused in drinks, but I often find myself ordering them because I like the crispness. You could have a lot of these in one night.

Gin Sour
“You can’t go wrong with a Gin Sour.”

Gin Sour

Ingredients

Gin · Lemon · Sugar Syrup · Egg White

The profile

4 dashes of Angostura bitters.

My thoughts

A staple of my classics rotation, you can’t go wrong with a Gin Sour. The bitters give it a little more complexity in the aroma, but drinks as you’d expect.

Triple Seven
“A blackberry sour with tequila.”

Triple Seven

Ingredients

Patron Sherry Cask · Pisco · St. Germain · Framboise · Lime · Egg White · Blackberry

The profile

Deep purple color, blackberry garnish.

My thoughts

A blackberry sour with tequila. You would have thought gin would have made more sense. I like the use of the sherry cask spirit, though, as it gave the drink a roundness. However, the St-Germain and pisco overshadowed the tequila. Easy, enjoyable drink.

The Space

This was one of my most frequented bars while living in Vegas. A rooftop located at the Circa Hotel, giving excellent panoramic views of the city.

Now, I have a good friend who cocktail served at this bar for a long time, hence my frequency of visit, but I will do my best to not let all the “bartender’s mistakes” I drank taint the review.

Legacy Club is certainly a lounge, but their bar program is quite good. They have a make-your-own Old Fashioned option, which, albeit only 3 ingredients, is fun to hand-select.

Tons of space for large groups, both inside and out. The outdoor tables even have fireplaces because, yes, Vegas gets cold in the winter.

If you make your way to Fremont Street, I’d certainly say stop by for a drink and a great picture.

Extras

I promise I drank more than these 3 coupe cocktails. I guess I just never took a photo of my Old Fashioned and other specialty cocktails.

But here’s a picture of the view from the balcony. Worth the visit alone.

Taste reflects what I drank. Atmosphere reflects the bar experience.
