The profile

Great golden color. Playful woven coaster.

My thoughts

Simple, boozy, earthy. Lovely sip. Bourbon’s my jam, and this drink was stellar. The honey added to the sweet notes of the bourbon, creating great vanilla & caramel notes.

Ginseng, being herbal, woody, and slightly bitter, brought balance and complexion to the drink. This is a great alternative to an Old Fashioned/Manhattan if you like a spirit-forward cocktail.

The Space

Down a tight alley with plenty of plants lives Asia Today Bar. This bar is incredibly small, managing to feel both cozy and lively.

There’s a giant marlin hanging from the ceiling, which I’m not sure the relevance of, but I did like. And like I said above, how cool are the coasters? I’ve never seen a bar do coasters like that. Fun touch.
